Nash Martinez
Nash Martinez is an Oregon-based designer whose work explores familiar shapes and timeless materials. With light as a central focus, he communicates an elegant sense of utility through his thoughtful use of material and form.
Nash's journey into original design began with his experience as a dealer of vintage decorative furnishings, which gave him a tactile, immersive understanding of 20th-century design. This hands-on exploration of materials and design history has played a key role in his success as a lighting designer.
In 2017, Nash founded Current Collection as a platform to share his work. Today, the collection has expanded to feature designs from Independent Designers and European Brands that celebrate craftsmanship and beauty, thoughtfully exploring the connection between form and functional design.
