The PH 1/1 Piano Table Lamp, designed by Poul Henningsen in 1931, was originally created to provide pianists with precise, glare-free illumination while playing. Based on Henningsen’s pioneering three-shade system, the distinctive design pairs a long, curved stem with a spherical counterweight and adjustable head, balancing sculptural form with function.
Revived by Louis Poulsen as a limited edition for 2026, the PH 1/1 Piano Table Lamp is presented in aged brushed brass with three handcrafted glass shades in a warm Dusty Terracotta. Each shade features a glossy exterior and sandblasted interior, softly diffusing the light while directing it downward. The lamp’s head adjusts 45° back and 25° forward, allowing the light to be positioned where needed. Finished with a classic push-through on/off switch and Poul Henningsen’s PH initials engraved on the switch housing, this limited edition preserves the character and thoughtful details of the original design.
